Since first appearing on the local Charleston, WV Romper Room when she was five, Ann has been in countless movies and television shows. Categorizing Ann as an actress is not an easy task. She is equally at home in drama and comedy and has played everything from biker chicks to sophisticated ladies. Like any good chameleon, she disappears into her roles. She may not be a household name, yet most people have seen her work.
Tough guys recognize her as the gullible lovesick FBI secretary strangled in the Harrison Ford blockbuster Clear and Present Danger. Sophisticated urbanites enjoyed her as the eccentric fashionista magazine editor in the early 90s tv series Anything But Love (starring Jaime Lee Curtis and Richard Lewis).
Artier folks remember her as the black leather-clad punkette in the stylish horror film The Hunger (where she is ravished by vampire David Bowie).
Hallmark Channel subscribers cried when she was transformed from hard-nosed lawyer to compassionate daughter of cancer-stricken Doris Roberts in Our House. Freaks and geeks cheered when her blue-skinned goddess character de-flowered Chris Elliot in Cabin Boy and the squares don't know who the heck she is. Until you tell them she was Jodie Foster's brusque real estate agent in Panic Room, to which they reply, "Oh yes!"
Ann has been in countless independent films and is currently working with Memphis-based filmmaker Brian Pera on Woman's Picture.
She is slated to appear in Allison Anders new film later this year (opposite Jon Doe from the band X). For Ann's full resume see IMDB. Click here to see Ann's Hollywood Scrapbook. Scroll down for highlights from her film and TV career. |
